It was a crazy week last week. I headed south to Columbus, Ohio and then onto Gatlinburg, Tennessee for work. Friday was running around and then around 10:30 I took the skis and headed out for some energy burning and God time. The new camera is working awesome with the night photos!

I see the Moon at Night |
Saturday was spent at the basketball courts again. The wife and I got to scorekeep for my daughter and her friend because they were away at a winter retreat. Then we headed off to hear Bay Forest speak at a local church. He has been around our area for about 6 years now and we love hearing him speak - great word and very powerful message delivery!

Could this be my last snowbike ride on the MUSS? |
Sunday found me back at church, then off for errands, and finally back home. I put the new fenders on the MUSS so I can commute in the wintry slop and then headed out for a snowmobile trail ride. With the temps as low as they were I was hopeful that it would be fun riding. Well it was fun but it was not easy by any means!

My Park - sometimes I feel like I am the only one out there! |

The Sun was starting to set so I headed home |
I stopped to catch my breath after having to push my bike uphill. That is the thrill of the single speed. I am very excited about the Mukluk - easier riding and shifting capabilities! A snow mobiler pulled over and asked me about the mountain bike and I told him to look into snowbikes because they are awesome and I don't even have one yet!
I then cruised the roads homeward bound and took my lovely wife out to a quiet dinner since it was a pretty hectic weekend.
This morning I rode to work and it was -7degrees F out with a wind chill of about -20F. Needless to say it was not the smartest thing I have ever done but it sure was fun. Ranks right up there with sleeping outside in Leadville, CO during Christmas Break back in the day.
That sunset picture says a lot about why we ride. I suppose some would see nothing but being cold. I see a great place to ride. :-)
