No Pictures - Just Confusion Driven Words!

I changed the title from Anger to Confusion.  I am really not angry about it but this guy is something else.  Send the link along and have all of your friends drop him a note.  He is easily found via google :)

So I had a friend link this story to his FB page.  I read the title and laughed.  I read the story and laughed.

That was yesterday!

Today I penned this e-mail to the Assemblyman who is the brainstorm behind it:

Mr. DenDekker,

I truly hope you find better causes to pursue in the future rather than trying to get $300,000 of revenue for New York State via a ridiculous bike licensing program.

Here is an idea - why don't you and your fellow lawmakers cut your staff size and reduce all the non-necessary staff in Albany and all other local government locations.  I am guessing that this will save the state more than the $300,000 annually that this law is supposedly going to make for New York State.

I really wish you were in my district because I would personally see to it that you have no chance of re-election.  Based on the work you are doing attempting to get this law passed I find it hard to believe that there are not more qualified people available to do the job.

Here is another idea - why don't you pass legislation that makes it illegal to drive a car of distances less than 3 miles.  You could create a license that gives you special permission to drive your car less than 3 miles for $26.00 annually.  That would get you more income for many years to come because most constituents would sign up for that license out of laziness.

Have a great day.

Sincerely,

Bill Graves

Some people need to find better things to do with their time.  Too bad he is not a local politician and good thing we don't have bike lanes in the Western New York area ;)

Have a great day and get out there and ride your bike.  It is sunny and 35 in Buffalo today.  Glad I commuted to work!
